Raju (1927 to 2006) Born in Andhra Pradesh, India in the year 1927, Pandit T.L.Raju had come from a non-musical family but had keen interest and determination in learning Hindustani Classical Music. In the year 1946 he came to Mumbai with the same vision in mind and got an opportunity to learn music from the legendary Ustad Azmat Hussein Khan Saheb of Jaipur Athrauli Gharana and till the very last he remained loyal to the gayaki. He was the senior most disciple of the Ustad. Most of his time went in juggling around between his responsibilities and had to bring a family of 6 which had hampered him in his pursuing music. However whenever he had the time he would perform and had got the attention of the music connoisseurs. His contemporaries had great regard and believed in his ability to perform and was well | |
